Therefore, it is permissible to marry the daughter of a maternal aunt whom his mother did not breastfeed, because his suckling from her mother did not reach the amount considered legally, which is five suckles. However, some scholars, such as the Hanafis and Malikis, hold that a single suckle establishes prohibition, making the girl his sister through suckling. It is more prudent for him not to marry her, to avoid disagreement, safeguard his faith, and shun doubt.
