Is it permissible to marry a woman fictitiously for the purpose of her obtaining residency in Canada, in exchange for a sum of money that would help with marriage and returning to one's family, without the intention of consummating the marriage?

It is not permissible to enter into a fictitious marriage to obtain money, for this contract is forbidden, the money taken from it is illicit, and it involves deception of state laws and great corruption. One must strive to seek lawful work, seek Allah's help, make abundant supplications, and rely upon Him, for whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out and provide for him from where he does not expect.
