The answer

A Muslim should not partner with someone who does not refrain from unlawful dealings. Jurists have disliked partnering with those who do not avoid forbidden acts, to safeguard oneself from falling into the unlawful. If it is known that the partner acquired something through an unlawful transaction, then it is not permissible to benefit from what he acquired, and he must be admonished. However, if it is unknown and not clear that his acquisition was from unlawful means, then there is no harm in benefiting from it. It is permissible for a woman to be employed if she is veiled and her work does not involve unlawful mixing with men; otherwise, it is not permissible.
