It is permissible to acquire toys in the form of animate beings, and giving them to children is better than discarding them, especially for the poor. As for furniture in the shape of statues of animate beings, it is forbidden to acquire it, and its form must be changed so that it becomes in a form without a soul, or a part without which life cannot exist remains. In such a case, there is no harm in gifting it.
