How does a girl reconcile household matters and worship in Ramadan, and what are the essential aspects of worship that she should not compromise?
Among God's graces is seizing the opportunities of Ramadan to prepare for the afterlife. The best means for this include:
1. Seeking assistance from God and renewing repentance.
2. Preparing for Ramadan and dedicating oneself to worship.
3. Being diligent in performing obligatory acts like prayer, and Tarawih prayers, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever stands (in prayer) during Ramadan with faith and hoping for reward, his past sins will be forgiven."
4. Organizing time by writing a schedule of priorities and allocating time for reciting and contemplating the Qur'an, as the Salaf (pious predecessors) used to recite it frequently in Ramadan.
5. Being cautious of anything that diminishes the reward of fasting. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "When any of you is fasting on a day, he should not indulge in obscene talk or cause an uproar or commit evil. If anyone insults him or quarrels with him, he should say: 'I am a fasting person.'"
6. Increasing supplication and persistence in it, for the fasting person has a prayer that is not rejected.
