How can one reconcile multiple religious obligations, such as honoring one's parents, marriage, memorizing the Quran, and striving in the path of Allah (Jihad), especially from a quantitative perspective, taking into account the limited time available?

A Muslim should take the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions as role models, and follow the Book of Allah and the Sunnah (definition) of His Messenger in all their sayings and actions, because that is the path to drawing near to Allah. The companions combined jihad, learning, earning a livelihood, and spending on the needy. By emulating them, a servant is saved from deviation, extremism, and shortcomings.

Ibn Al-Qayyim mentioned that the best form of worship is to work towards earning the pleasure of the Lord at all times, in accordance with what that time necessitates and its function. This is called absolute worship. So, during a time of jihad, jihad is best; when a guest is present, fulfilling their rights is best; during the pre-dawn hours, prayer and reading the Qur’an are best, and so on. The absolute worshipper is one who moves through the stations of servitude according to what the time and situation demand. They are not bound by specific rituals or restrictions; rather, they move with the command wherever it goes.
