How can one balance worldly matters and acts of worship, given the abundance of commitments and the exhausting demands of work that negatively affect acts of worship?

One can transform worldly work into obedience and worship through a righteous intention, excelling in one's work, and bearing in mind that permissible work becomes an act of obedience with sincere intentions, such as the intention to fulfill the wife's right, or to seek a righteous child, or to preserve one's chastity. Time must be managed and priorities organized so that preoccupation with work does not affect religious obligations. This is done by allocating specific time for work and another for worship, such as reading the Quran and studying religious lessons, and utilizing waiting times and free moments for acts of obedience. One should also increase supererogatory acts, such as fasting and praying two rak'ahs before Fajr, and act upon the hadith, "Give every possessor of a right his right," all while seeking assistance from Allah and turning to Him.
