Does the devil eat from food that has not been consecrated with the name of God, and how is that so if the food does not diminish, and what is the extent of jinn's influence on humans?

The hadith that mentions the devil vomiting what he ate upon the recitation of Allah’s name over food is weak. Some scholars have interpreted it either literally or as referring to the departure of barakah (blessing) due to not mentioning Allah’s name. The devil eats, even if we do not see how he eats, and he eats with his left hand. As for the jinn’s influence on humans, it occurs through waswasah (whispering evil suggestions), or through physical harm such as striking, epilepsy, or killing. This might be a reaction to a human's action against them, or a mere act of mischief on their part. This happens to some people, particularly the heedless who do not fortify themselves with adhkar (remembrances of Allah). As for Allah’s sincere servants, Satan has no authority over them.
