If the deceased has no heirs other than those mentioned, the daughters receive two-thirds, and the remainder goes to the grandchildren (sons and daughters of the son) by 'asabah (agnatic succession), with the male receiving the share of two females. The brothers and sisters are completely excluded from inheritance by the daughters and the grandchildren (sons and daughters of the son). Inheritances must be submitted to the Sharia courts for review and investigation, as there may be matters unknown to the heirs, such as bequests and debts.
