Is it permissible in Islamic law for one's heart to become attached to a believing woman, to emulate her, and to love her to the extent that it becomes difficult to part from her, and this love increases, all without any lustful thoughts?

Love for the sake of Allah is one of the strongest bonds of faith. It exists between men and women, and its fruits include cooperation in good deeds, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong, as stated in His (the Most High) saying: "The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong..." (At-Tawbah: 71). Caution must be exercised to prevent this love from transforming into a forbidden love that leads to infatuation and temptation.
