What is the ruling on traveling to visit Mada'in Salih with the intention of drawing lessons from it?

The apparent meaning of the Quran calls for traveling through the land and contemplating the places of the chastised to draw lessons, not for recreation and entertainment. And whoever enters these places should be sad and weeping, because of the torment that befell their inhabitants due to their disobedience of Allah’s command, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not enter upon these chastised people unless you are weeping. If you are not weeping, then do not enter upon them, lest you be afflicted by what afflicted them."
