Is the story true that Moses (peace be upon him) reproached his Lord on the Night of Isra regarding Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his elevation above him?
In the of the Isra’ (Night Journey), the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ascended to the sixth heaven and requested entry. It was asked, "Who is this?" He said, "Jibreel." It was asked, "Who is with you?" He said, "Muhammad." It was asked, "Has he been sent for?" He said, "Yes." It was said, "Welcome to him, how excellent is his coming." When he entered, he found Musa (Moses) and greeted him. Musa returned the greeting and said, "Welcome to the righteous brother and the righteous Prophet." When the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by, Musa wept. When asked about the reason for his weeping, he said, "I weep because a young man sent after me will have more people from his nation enter Paradise than from my nation."
