What is the ruling on dealing with Islamic banks given the differing scholarly opinions regarding their permissibility?

There is no harm in regulated banking transactions that adhere to Sharia principles. It is difficult to assert definitively that there are no major Islamic banks, as some banks prominently display the banner of Islam in their dealings. The fact that some of them do not adhere to Sharia principles does not negate the existence of Islamic banks.
