The answer

It is not our role to rule on the permissibility of dealing with a specific bank. Whoever wishes to ascertain the Shariah compliance of a particular bank can inquire with the bank's Shariah supervisory board or consult trustworthy scholars. The basic principle is that it is permissible to deal with Islamic banks and invest money in them, and the profits derived from these transactions are lawful. The Islamic Fiqh Academy has commended Islamic banks and called upon Muslims to support them and expand their establishment.
