What is the ruling on saying: "Fate may be stubborn with us in ways our souls do not desire"?

The occurrence of destiny with what souls dislike is an undeniable fact. Therefore, we are commanded to be patient with it and to be content with it. Allah Almighty says: "Fighting has been enjoined upon you while it is hateful to you. But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allah Knows, while you know not." (2:216) And His (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, the greatest reward comes with the greatest trial. And indeed, when Allah loves a people, He tests them. So whoever is content, for him is contentment, and whoever is displeased, for him is displeasure." It is permissible to call this "obstinacy" in the sense that destiny goes against the desires of souls, as in "عرق عاند" (a stubborn vein), meaning it deviates from the norm. However, using another term instead of "obstinacy" might be more appropriate and closer to people's understanding.
