Does the word "people" in His Almighty's saying: {Adorned for people is the love of desires, from women and sons, and heaped-up hoards of gold and silver, and branded horses, and cattle, and tilled land} include both men and women, and is it permissible to apply it to women only, and does the remainder of the verse include both women and men?

The word "people" (الناس) is the plural of "human being" (إنسان) and refers to both men and women. Thus, Allah's statement: "Beautified for people is the love of desires, from women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, livestock, and tilled land" (Quran 3:14) includes both men and women, because these desires (sex, love of sons and daughters, accumulating wealth, luxurious possessions) are common to both.
