What is the interpretation of the Almighty’s saying: "Beautified for people is the love of desires, from women," and why did the verse specify "people" rather than "men," and does a woman have desires towards women?

Allah has made the love of worldly desires appealing to people, such as the love of women, children, and other pleasures of life. Souls have become attached to these, and people have divided into two categories: a category that made these their sole purpose, distracting them from what they were created for, and a category that recognized these as a test, using them as a means to provision for their Hereafter. The verse offers solace to the poor, a warning to the deluded, and encourages asceticism among people of intellect. The word "people" is general, encompassing both men and women, and the desire of men for women is stronger than the reverse. As for a woman's inclination towards another woman, it clashes with sound human nature.
