What is the Shar'i ruling on dealing with a cruel father who forces his children to accept his new wife, transgresses against their feelings and rights, and takes their deceased mother's gold to give it to his new wife, knowing that there are relatives who insulted and transgressed against their deceased mother? Are the children obligated to maintain ties of kinship with these relatives?

Supplicate for your deceased mother, and be dutiful and kind to your father, especially in his old age. Obey him, help him marry, honor his wife, maintain ties with his loved ones, be patient with him, and do not cut off relatives even if they mistreat you. If your mother's assets were divided and the gold was your father's share, then it is his right.
