Is it permissible for the father to take a table instead of his wages which the furniture owner reduced?

If a specific fee was agreed upon, the furniture owner is obligated to adhere to it. If there was no agreement, a fair market price must be paid. If the furniture owner refuses to pay, your father may withhold the furniture until he receives his fee. This is the view of Malik and Abu Hanifa. Your father is not permitted to take anything from the furniture owner's possessions, unless the furniture owner refuses to fulfill his obligation by his authority, and your father finds no legitimate means to claim his right except by taking an amount from the possessions of this uncooperative person that equals the value of his right.
