Is taking an interest-bearing loan to pay for university tuition considered a necessity that permits the forbidden, knowing that the borrower has searched and prayed extensively without success?

Usury is one of the major sins that incurs war from Allah and a curse from His Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, upon those who deal in it and those who assist them. Paying university fees is not a necessity that permits borrowing with interest. Necessity is a state of severe danger or hardship that results in harm to oneself, limb, honor, mind, or property. The statement "I prayed to Allah without benefit" is ill-mannered towards Allah. Allah is generous and loves to be asked by His servants, and the response to supplication comes in one of three ways: accelerating the request, saving it for the Afterlife, or averting an equivalent evil. A Muslim should have a good opinion of his Lord, for Allah does not disappoint one who is sincere in his supplication, desire, and reliance upon Him.
