Is it permissible to perform Umrah on behalf of a living person who is financially and physically capable, but cannot bear the costs of Umrah?

It is permissible to repeat Umrah in a year. If your father has performed the obligatory Umrah, it is permissible for you to perform Umrah on his behalf after you have performed the obligatory Umrah for yourself and with his permission. However, if he has not performed it and is healthy, then it is not permissible to perform it on his behalf because Umrah is obligatory for him. If the father is deceased, there is no harm in performing Umrah on his behalf; rather, it is a recommended act if he died without having performed the obligatory Umrah.
