Is the fear that the Qarin would inform sorcerers about prayers against them considered shirk?

If a Muslim remembers Allah Almighty, his devil retreats and distances himself from him, as stated in the Prophetic Hadith that the devil leaves upon hearing the call to prayer (Adhan), and that the remembrance of Allah is a fortress for the Muslim against the devil. Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah clarified that the devil engulfs the heart of a servant, so if he remembers Allah, the devil retreats, and if he becomes heedless, the devil whispers. Ibn al-Qayyim said that the devil lies in wait for the heedless, and if one becomes heedless, the devil pounces on him, but if one remembers Allah, the devil shrinks and becomes small, and this is why he is called al-Waswas al-Khannas (the whispering, retreating one). Therefore, a Muslim should not fear the devil, for remembrance is a potent weapon against him. If fear does occur, it is not considered polytheism (shirk), but rather cowardice and panic.
