However, if the intent is that the manner of dressing or eye color indicates personal characteristics such as cleanliness or keen eyesight, then this is not divination. Clothes, gait, and speech express a person's character. Scholars have mentioned physical and moral traits that indicate personality, just as Ibn al-Jawzi mentioned characteristics of a fool in "Akhbar al-Humqa wal-Mughaffalin" (Reports of the Foolish and the Negligent).
