Photographing disfigured individuals and publishing their images is impermissible if it causes them distress, as this falls under prohibited backbiting (gheebah), which involves mentioning your brother with what he dislikes. This applies to any defect in his body, character, or actions, whether through speech, writing, or images. However, if they are not distressed by the publication, then there is no objection to it, though it is better to seek another means of admonition. An exception to this is if the person is known by a nickname that describes their defect for the necessity of identification, provided there is no alternative means of identifying them.
