The answer

Illness is one of the excuses that permit breaking the fast. If a sick person needs treatment during the day, it is permissible for them to break the fast and make up for it later. Therefore, if fasting harms her daughter or exacerbates her illness, the girl's mother should give her the medicine in Ramadan and convince her that it is permissible for a sick person to break the fast, in accordance with Allah's saying: (And whoever among you is sick or on a journey, then [he must fast] an equal number of other days). Then, she should make up for the days she missed after Ramadan. If taking the medicine during the daytime in Ramadan is necessary for fear of a relapse of the illness, then breaking the fast and making up for it is permissible. However, if it is possible to postpone the medicine until night without hardship, then breaking the fast is not permissible.
