If the husband is in this state, engaging in anal intercourse, beating without right, abandoning prayer and fasting, and abusing drugs, then the wife must not return to him. It is permissible for her to inform her family of what he is doing, so that she can free herself from him through divorce or khul', because her remaining with him entails harm to her religious and worldly affairs.
