Do the parents' demanding their daughter divorce her husband, after discovering his sexual perversion and his previous illicit relationships, constitute a violation of Islamic law and incur sin upon them? Is her marriage to him Islamically valid, given her awareness of his past and her brother's threat to expose the matter? Will she find happiness in her marital life without her parents' رضا (consent/satisfaction)? And what will be the future of her children with a father who has such a past?

If a divorced woman returns to her husband with a new contract without her family's knowledge, the marriage is invalid. The woman must separate from the man, or conduct a new, valid contract with a guardian. If the husband repents of the sin, divorce should not be sought from him; however, if he does not repent, it is permissible. Her remaining with him does not affect the validity of the marriage. If the husband does not repent, obedience to the parents in seeking divorce is obligatory. If he repents, their obedience is not obligatory, because obedience is in what is good, and a parent is not to be obeyed in separating from a husband unless there is a legitimate religious reason. The children are attributed to him due to the validity of the marriage.
