Is an orphan one whose father has died and whose mother remains, or one whose mother and father have died?

Legally, an orphan is one whose father died while he was young and had not yet reached puberty. The description of orphanage is removed from him upon reaching puberty, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "There is no orphanage after puberty."
