Does the soul of one who has been murdered return to the place of their murder, causing their image to appear there?

The return of a slain person's soul to the place of their killing, causing their image to appear there, is baseless and has no evidence in Islamic law or reason. The martyrs of Uhud wished to return to this world to be martyred again but were prevented. Similarly, Allah brought Jabir's father back to life and spoke with him, but when he wished to return to this world to be killed in Allah's path, he was prevented due to Allah's prior decree that the dead shall not return to this world.
