Is it permissible to work as a software engineer in the transmission of paid TV channels, movies, and series, knowing that the majority of viewers are in Arab and Islamic countries, and that a large part of the content is foreign, and is this considered a distraction for Muslims during Ramadan or an introduction of reprehensible things into their homes?

"Conscience is rightly pricked, as most channels, films, and series feature forbidden matters. Therefore, it is impermissible to create a program that facilitates subscribing to them and transmitting them to homes. This is because the general rule allows what can be used for both permissible and forbidden purposes, unless its use for the forbidden becomes predominant, in which case the ruling is based on the predominant use."
