What is the best way to thank Allah for His blessings?
Gratitude is the recompense for kindness and praise for those who do good. The Most deserving of it is Allah Almighty due to His immense blessings. Allah has commanded us to be grateful to Him, and the greatest who fulfilled this command were the prophets and messengers. Allah mentioned in His Holy Book many blessings that He bestowed upon His servants and commanded them to be grateful for them, and He informed that only a few of them are grateful. The servant's gratitude to his Lord is achieved by fulfilling its three pillars: gratitude of the heart, gratitude of the tongue, and gratitude of the limbs. Gratitude of the heart is feeling the value of blessings and acknowledging that the Giver of blessings is Allah alone. Gratitude of the tongue is verbally acknowledging that Allah is the true Giver of blessings and praising Him. Gratitude of the limbs is dedicating them to the obedience of Allah and avoiding sins. This includes performing obligations and refraining from prohibitions, and it also includes supererogatory acts. The Muslim always seeks help from his Lord to be grateful, because gratitude is a cause for increasing blessings.
