How does one express gratitude to Allah Almighty for His response to one's supplication and the healing of one's mother, and what should be done to fulfill some of His grace?

Gratitude to Allah is a great blessing and a high station. Allah has promised the grateful reward and increase, and Allah is independent of us and our gratitude. Gratitude is expressed by the tongue through praise, remembrance, and supplication; by the heart through love and contentment; and by the limbs through action. Its meaning is that a servant should use every blessing in obedience to Allah and in seeking His pleasure. Among the acts of gratitude to Allah are: giving charity to the poor, helping the needy sick, and striving to relieve the distress of Muslims.
