Is the debtor's supplication, "O Allah, settle my debt," beneficial if the creditor is relentlessly pursuing and the debtor is unable to pay, and what should the debtor do?

Supplication is beneficial and a key to all good, and through it, Allah Almighty fulfills the needs of His servants, no matter how difficult they may be. The supplicant must be mindful of the reasons for acceptance and its impediments, and should neither rush the answer nor despair.

As for debt, it is a concern by night and a humiliation by day. Debt can be ruinous, and it is a source of all misery. If Allah wills to humble a servant, He places it as a collar around his neck. This warning is for those who are not compelled to it by necessity, due to the humiliation and demands that result from it, and the fear of falsehood in speech and breaking promises.
