Is a married woman entitled to seek a divorce for the purpose of marrying another man?

A woman must be patient and kind to her husband and obey him. It is not permissible for her to seek divorce without a valid reason. However, if she dislikes her husband due to his character, appearance, religious commitment, old age, or weakness, and fears that she will not be able to fulfill God's rights in obeying him, then it is permissible for her to seek khul' (divorce initiated by the wife in exchange for compensation), as happened with the wife of Thabit ibn Qays.
