Is a wife permitted to refuse her husband's permission to marry a second wife, and is the wife's permission a condition according to Sharia?

Her permission is not a condition for his marrying a second wife. It is preferable for the husband to seek his wife's permission to appease her, and for the wife to grant him permission to ensure justice and her honor. It is not permissible for a woman to reject polygyny or to seek divorce merely because her husband marries a second wife.
