Does adding extra وقف (pause) signs in Quran software, which are not present in the printed Mus'haf, count as a distortion of the Quran?

It has been previously explained that the signs of وقف (stopping) in the Masaahif (copies of the Qur’an) are a matter of scholarly discretion, and it is not obligatory to adhere to them according to Islamic law, unless the reciter intentionally makes a stop or a start that corrupts the meaning. The absence of a sign in one Mushaf and its presence in another does not constitute an alteration of the Qur’an.
