Is God's turning of hearts after a person's disobedience, and does it differ from the turning away of hearts in meaning and usage?

Allah does not wrong people, nor does He change His favor upon them unless they change their own condition through disobedience. Thus, the affliction stems from the servant himself.

Allah does not lead anyone astray until He has clarified the truth to them. If they then do not accept what He has clarified, He punishes them with misguidance, as happened with those who deviated, so Allah made their hearts deviate.

Acting upon knowledge strengthens and establishes it, while contradicting it weakens or removes it. Allah punishes people for sins by withdrawing guidance and beneficial knowledge.

There is no difference between "Disposer of hearts" (مصرف القلوب) and "Turner of hearts" (مقلب القلوب); both are used in the context of disbelief and disobedience. Supplications using both phrases have been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
