Is it reprehensible for a person to pass wind when alone, and is it recommended for him to perform ablution afterward, and is it true that "everything that harms people harms the angels"?

There is no harm for an individual in expelling wind to prevent harm to their body, and because performing prayer while retaining wind is considered disliked by some scholars. However, the emission of wind invalidates ablution and necessitates performing ablution for anything that requires purity, such as prayer, due to the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: “Allah does not accept the prayer of anyone who has nullified their ablution until they perform it again,” and his saying: “One should not leave [prayer] until they hear a sound or perceive a smell.” As for harming angels, there is a hadith that prohibits those who have eaten onions, garlic, and leeks from approaching the mosque, because “the angels are harmed by what harms the children of Adam.” This indicates that it is permissible to eat them for one who stays at home, and it is disliked to attend the mosque while their smell is present, so as not to harm the angels and the children of Adam.
