Is one who persevered through the loss of his sight and people's mockery after reaching adulthood considered among the patient, and will he receive the reward of the patient?

You will be rewarded, Allah willing, for the ridicule and harm you endured. The reward for a calamity is obtained as soon as it occurs. People are of varying ranks when faced with affliction: contentment and increased love (for Allah), thanking Allah for it, and patience. Inner discontent does not negate patience as long as it does not manifest on the tongue or limbs, but it does contradict contentment. Complete patience is demonstrated at the first shock, and you have missed the reward of complete patience, but we hope you will not be deprived of the reward of the patient.
