What should be done regarding doubt about theft in childhood?

Everything stolen in childhood must be returned to its owners. One's conscience is not cleared except by doing so, or by seeking forgiveness from the rightful owners. As for what is doubted to have been stolen, the original principle is that one's conscience is clear from it.
