Is it permissible to write (ص) or (صلعم) instead of "صلى الله عليه وسلم" when mentioning the Prophet?

The prescribed practice is to write the complete phrase "Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam" (May Allah exalt him and grant him peace) when mentioning the Prophet. This fulfills Allah's command and serves as a reminder to the reader. It is disliked to abbreviate it with symbols such as "ص" or "صلعم" because this contravenes Allah's command and diminishes the reward. The scholars have disapproved of these symbols and warned against them.
