What is the ruling on selling perfumes, cosmetics, artifacts, and antiques, especially cosmetics, to women?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

There is no objection to owning a shop that sells women's supplies and engaging in this trade if it adheres to the Sharia regulations, meaning that nothing forbidden to sell is sold therein. It is preferable that a woman handles the sales. If this is not possible and a man handles it, he must commit to lowering his gaze, limiting speech to what is necessary, and be extremely cautious of being alone with a foreign woman, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not be alone with a woman who has no mahram with her, for indeed the third of them is Satan."
