Is it permissible for a Muslim woman married to a man from the People of the Book to remain in her religion, and does she inherit from her Muslim husband if he dies, and where is she buried if she dies, and is it permissible to pray over her and supplicate for mercy for her?

Allah Almighty has made lawful the marriage to a chaste and virtuous believing woman, and has clarified that a believing woman is better than a polytheist. He made an exception for women of the Book (Christian and Jewish women), provided they are chaste and virtuous; otherwise, their marriage is not permissible.

It is preferable for a Muslim man to marry a Muslim woman to raise children upon Islam and to avoid the influence of the Woman of the Book's beliefs on them.

One must be wary of women of the Book who have no religion or are unchaste. It is advised not to marry them except in cases of extreme necessity, due to the potential corruption and problems that may arise from such marriages, especially Jewish women who may be used to spy on Islamic societies.

If marriage to a woman of the Book occurs, then in the event of death, neither inherits from the other, and she is buried in the cemeteries of disbelievers. It is not permissible to pray over her or supplicate for her forgiveness.
