What is the Shariah ruling on eating imported chicken, given the claim that some scholars have forbidden it?

It is permissible to eat meat imported from non-Islamic countries if the slaughterers are People of the Book (Jews and Christians). There is no need to inquire about the method of slaughter or the pronouncement of Allah's name, based on the action of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who ate from their slaughtered animals without questioning. However, if the slaughterers are not People of the Book, such as Magians or idolaters, then eating their slaughtered animals is not permissible. If there is doubt about the identity of the slaughterer, but the majority of the people in that country are those whose slaughtered animals are permissible to eat, then it is permissible to eat. Nevertheless, it is better to be scrupulous and avoid doubtful matters.
