What is the religious ruling regarding a husband who abuses drugs and watches pornography, while having young children, and with advice proving futile?

The questioner is advised not to despair of reforming her husband and to continue advising him, clarifying that drug use and watching pornography are reprehensible acts and major sins. She should also help him repent. If he repents and becomes righteous, that is good. But if he persists in his condition, it is better to separate from him through divorce or khul' (a type of divorce initiated by the wife), because the wife is like the husband in forsaking the right of Allah, as stated by Al-Mardawi Al-Hanbali.
