Is it permissible for a Muslim husband of a Christian woman to allow her to worship and celebrate her holidays in his home, and is it permissible for the children to participate? And if the answer is no, would that not affect her feelings?

A Muslim is not permitted to allow his Christian wife to celebrate her holiday in his home, because he is her guardian, and due to the resulting harms, prohibitions, and the display of the rituals of disbelief in his home. He must prevent his children from participating in these innovated holidays, because they are under his guardianship.

Imam Ahmad was asked about a man who has a Christian wife and allows her to go out to the Christian holiday or go to a church. He said: No.

It is stated in Al-Mughni by Ibn Qudamah: "If the wife is a Dhimmi, he has the right to prevent her from going out to the church, because that is not an act of obedience."

If scholars prohibited her from going out to the church, then it is even more imperative to prohibit the celebration of an innovated holiday in the Muslim husband's home, due to the multiple harms that extend from it.
