The answer

We advise you to maintain the remembrance of Allah Almighty, to seek refuge from the accursed Shaytan, to recite the Quran, and to consistently observe the morning and evening adhkar. Persist in saying: "There is no god but Allah, alone without partner; to Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things competent," one hundred times daily. It has been reported that the one who says this receives a great reward and it becomes a protection for him from Shaytan.

When a servant remembers his Lord, Shaytan shrinks, but if he forgets Allah, Shaytan seizes his heart. When stumbling or making a mistake, do not say "May Shaytan be ruined," because by doing so he becomes arrogant. Instead, say "Bismillah (In the name of Allah)," for then he shrinks until he becomes like a fly. Finally, we advise you to read the book "Dhamm al-Waswasa wa Tafsir al-Mu'awwidhatayn" by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya.
