Is it permissible to say, "Peace and blessings be upon you, O Messenger of Allah," and is it permissible to say, "All of us are a sacrifice for you, O Messenger of Allah," or "Our souls are a sacrifice for you, O Messenger of Allah"?

It is permissible to say, "We are all sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah," or "Our souls are sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah," because the Companions said similar things to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and he did not object to them. Examples include Salama ibn al-Akwa's saying, "May my father and mother be sacrificed for you," and Abu Musa al-Ash'ari's saying, "May my father and mother be sacrificed for you." The use of this phrase is further emphasized when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is maligned, to demonstrate the Muslims' love for him and their readiness to defend him.
