What is the ruling on money earned from working in an internet café where customers were assisted in accessing forbidden websites, and is it permissible to continue working there if assistance in opening these websites ceases, but customers still access them on their own?

Helping customers to listen to music, talk to women, and similar activities is not permissible because it constitutes cooperation in sin and aggression, which Allah Almighty has forbidden in His saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." Working in this café is not permissible except in cases of dire necessity, meaning the worker remains there until he finds another job. As for the money earned from this work, there is no issue with what has already been spent. As for what remains in hand, the portion that is most likely to be in exchange for the forbidden should be given in charity for the general welfare of Muslims.
