Can one repent from adultery with a married woman that resulted in pregnancy and claiming the child's lineage to her husband? Is abandoning the woman and the child a correct solution? Is it permissible to get rid of the child to facilitate repentance?

Adultery is among the most heinous sins, and if it is committed with a married woman, it is even more abominable. However, Allah accepts sincere repentance, which consists of: abandoning the sin, feeling remorse, and resolving never to return to it, while also concealing one's own transgression. The child born from adultery is not attributed to the adulterer but to the woman's husband, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The child is for the bed, and for the adulterer is the stone." Thinking of killing her is an even greater crime. The adulterer must repent sincerely, avoid the causes of sin, sever his relationship with the woman, lower his gaze, hasten to marry, occupy himself with what benefits him, associate with the righteous, and frequently seek forgiveness and supplicate.
